Letter from the President.
Spring is upon us and wanderlust has many of us planning to get away in our RV’s. We need to travel as safely as possible so check those tires, drain the old water from your fresh water tanks and service those tow-vehicles before the area businesses get too busy to take care of you when you need to get the work done. Also remember to patronize those folks that support us by advertising in our directory. By the way, the new directories will be distributed at the Caravan and General meetings. The April general meeting will be held at the Luau.

Fran DeWell is leading the charge to create day trips to area attractions here in the valley and beyond. If you have an idea for a trip that you think would be of interest to others in the club, contact Fran with your thoughts. One such event in now in the planning stage for the fall. That is a trip to The Barleens Arizona Opry in Apache Junction. The Barleens Dinner Show is one of the very best musical shows in the area and the dinner is great too. I would like to see if we can start putting together other trips like this so let Fran know what interesting places or activities we can plan.

Membership Membership Report

March 2018

Happy Spring Everyone! Spring is in the air: the weather is warming, flowers are blooming, and traveling is on our mind… We had two very successful meetings in February. On February 6th, 90 members attended the Potluck/ General Business meeting, and on February 27th, 115 members attended the Caravan meeting.

We also had several New Members join the club: Kathy Sandness came with Arnie for the first time, Bruce & Marlene Brady, Bill VanderWall, as well as Joe & Barb Wilkerson (referred by Dick La Moine). We have had over 50 new members join since the fall of 2017.

We also had several guests join us at the February meetings: Debra Hague read about us in the newsletter, Larry and Dennise Smith were guests of Toni Viergutz, Joanne Jones heard about us online, and Brooklyn Bushy came with her grandmother, Sally Adams.

I always enjoy recognizing the Membership volunteers. Our February Greeters were: Glenn Nuest, Hank Engert, and Peter Ekholm. Our Membership Table Assistants were: Judy Nuest, and Barb Stevens. Thanks to all of you! Your assistance is always appreciated.

😊 A Quote from Charles Dickens: “SPRING is the time of the year, when it is summer in the sun and winter in the shade.” Enjoy!!
